Hello Everyone!

Hi!!! I'm sorry it has been so long since my last post. Thank you to everyone who checks this blog and patiently waits for new posts... So much has been happening here in Korea. I'm sure ya'll have heard some of it on the news... maybe not... where do I begin. Mom spent about 9 days in Korea... It was alot of fun! We packed everyday with tourist stuff, working, moving, etc... Ya... moving... I think a few of you have seen my new apartment on video but if not I posted a few pics here... FYI.. I did not clean for the photo shoot. The new apartment is better and worse than the old apt in many ways. It is smaller, it has a bigger bathroon with a shower door, less kitchen storage, an empty loft, and a bedroom. Instead of a studio, it is a one bedroom. The bedroom is separated by a sliding door which is nice because I can close it. Honey likes the new place... (check out his new collar in the pics below! Thank you Alana!) He is scared of the loft but then again so am I.... The stairs are really narrow and the ceiling is very low so you can't stand up.... It's really meant for a sleeping space but I like the bedroom with a door better... maybe I will try to sleep up there one night...
Work is still work. this week was offically my 7th month in Korea... only 5 more to go.... I am teaching all the EV classes this term. So that means I more or less teach the same classes everyday. My students from 4-7or8 come everyday. Instead of having both me and a Korean teacher, they only have me... My students are great! I'm really looking forward to July. Although I will be very sad to see my 2 of my coworkers go, we will get 2 new ones... July also will be exciting because i'm going to Bali. July 29th-August 3rd is my summer break. I'mn looking forward to the monkey beach/cave? and laying out on the beach. I am going with kristina, jenn, katie and kristina's brother Justin. I am so excited!
Summer is also the time for guests! Esther is coming in 2 weeks! Krash is coming at the end of August! I'm happy to have my sisters come share korea with me! I think Sara is even thinking about coming in March of 2010!
The way pictures are uploaded on this blog is very strange. I have no idea which picture is which so I can't write captions easily. One of the pictures is of a meat stand at a local market. Look closely. Yes! Those are tails with fur still attached... I'm not sure what it is used for but I had to take a picture!
Did ya'll hear about the pig flu in Korea? A group of new teachers came over in May and brought the flu with them... One of the teachers infected was a new teacher in my town, actually teaching at a school called CDI about 5 minutes from my school. CDIs were closed all over Korea and we prayed that they would shut us down too but no luck there.... About 30 teachers were quarintened for about a week. Teachers were blogging and the stories were very interesting. I started to feel really sick at that same time with a fever and cold symptoms but it cleared up quickly. Just overworked and underpaid I guess...
North Korea.. North Korea... North Korea... they need to sit in the Krash box for a while. Causing so much trouble and worry.. No one actually worries about north Korea here... Well... not really... When I ask my Korean Coworkers they just roll their eyes and tell me that the North prez is crazy. I think this is true. So to everyone who is worried... Don't worry... I think i'm just as safe here as I would be in the US...
Korean School... As some of you know I have been working on learning Korean... I am not very good at it but I just finsihed my first term of classes... I try to study about 2 hours a week in addition to the 2 hours of class on Saturday but I'm not very good about going to class... I offically can read... wooohoo.. I don't understand anything I'm reading but i'm slowly memorizing vocabulary... I know the basics....

Well... I think everyone is caught up.... I better spell check this thing because i'm pretty tired as I type this... Sorry for errors... gosh.... What do you think I am? An English teacher? o.... lolol.... I can't use that excuse anymore... I love you all!
